Moving to the ACC

The University of Pittsburgh and Syracuse University have sent letters of applications to the Atlantic Coast Conference.   If both schools go it would be a blow to the Big East in both basketball and football.     In the long run it could enhance both schools ability to recruit nationally, and give the ACC two major television markets.   Imagine Pitt playing basketball against Duke, North Carolina, Maryland, and traveling to former Big East rivals Miami of Florida,  Virginia Tech, and Boston College.    This could give the ACC clout in the Bowl Championship Series, and in the National Title picture.   This could cause to Big East to go after other schools in other conferences , and if they don’t the Big East conference as we know it will no longer be relevant.
