Week 11 Vs Chiefs

The defense had an outstanding game despite Troy Polamalu missing it with concussion like symptoms.   They held the Chiefs running game to 90 yards, and forced Tyler Palko into 3 interceptions.   Ben Roethlisberger had an okay game with 21-31 for 193 yards and a touchdown pass to Weslye Saunders.   Rashard Mendenhall had 57 yards rushing, and Antonio Brown made 4 catches for 81 yards.  Shaun Suisham made two field goals including a 49 yard one at the end of the first half, plus Jeremy Kapinos had a superb day punting the football.    The game should have been more than a 13 to 9 win due to many penalties, and sloppy play including Mewelde Moore fumble when the Steelers were driving for a touchdown.  Ben forced a pass that was intercepted by the Chiefs Travis Daniels.  The running game was ineffective in part of due to the Chiefs defense, and the absence of Maurkice Pouncey due to an illness.    Despite being 8 and 3 the Steelers can’t have a game like that against the Cincinnati Bengals next sunday afternoon at Heinz Field.
