Stanley Cup Finals Game 6

The Los Angeles Kings took advantage of a 5 minute power play to defeated the New Jersey Devils 6 to 1 to win their 1st Stanley Cup.  At the 10:10 mark during the 1st period, Devils right-wing Steve Bernier got a 5 minute boarding penalty and a game misconduct for hitting Kings defenseman Rob Scuderi from behind.    The Kings scored 3 goals on the power play.   Dustin Brown scored the 1st power play goal at 11:05, and then at 12:05 Jeff Carter scored the 2nd power goal, and at 15:01  Trevor Lewis scored the 3rd power play goal.   At 1:30 of the 2nd period Jeff Carter scored his 2nd goal of the game.   Adam Henrique scored at 18:45 to prevent the shut out     Trevor Lewis scored his 2nd goal of the game an empty netter at 16:15, and 15 seconds later Matt Greene wrapped up the scoring giving the Kings the Stanley Cup.   Jonathan Quick stopped 17 of 18 shots, and was named the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoffs MVP.
