World Series Game 1

Pablo Sandoval had a historic night hitting three home runs in a World Series game.  He joined Babe Ruth, Reggie Jackson and Albert Pujois in accomplishing this feat.   Barry Zito pitched 5.1 innings of outstanding baseball and Tim Lincecum pitched 2.1 innings of hitless relief to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 8 to 3 win over the Detroit Tigers.   Tigers starting pitcher Justin Verlander was roughed up for 5 runs and 6 hits in 4 innings of work.    The Tigers will send Doug Fister against Madison Bumgarner in-game 2 tomorrow night at AT&T Park in San Francisco first pitch is at 8:07 P.M.
