Penguins Streak

The Penguins have won 15 straight games and are peaking at the right time, but they are dealing with some criticial injuries.   Sidney Crosby suffered a broken jaw in yesterday’s game versus the New York Islanders.   Crosby had surgery and his out for indefinate period of time.   Paul Martin out for the remainder of the regular season and possibly the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as well with a broken wrist.  Kris Letang is out 7-10 days because of broken toe.  The Penguins also made three big trades this week Douglas Murray was acquired from the San Jose Sharks for defensive help, Brenden Morrow was picked up from the Dallas Stars to add grit and scoring touch, and Jarome Iginla from the Calgary Flames adding scoring touch and leadership.    Can this team break the 1992-93 team record of 17 straight wins and go far in the playoffs?   We will find out starting Tuesday against the Buffalo Sabres.
