World Series Game 3

Game 3 of the World Series turned out to be one of the wildest game I have even seen. It started out in the bottom of the 1st inning with the Cardinals got singles by Matt Holliday and Yadier Molina to take a 2-0 lead. In the top of the 5th inning The Red Sox cut the lead to 2-1 on Mike Carp fielder’s choice. In the top of the 6th inning Daniel Nava’s base hit tied the game at 2. In the bottom of the 7th inning Matt Holliday had a two run double to give the Cardinals a 4 to 2 lead. The Red Sox tied in the top of the 8th inning with Nava’s fielder choice and Xander Bogaerts single. Then into the bottom of the 9th inning Molina had a base hit and went to third on Allen Craig’s pinch hit double. John Jay grounded out to 2nd baseman Dustin Pedroia who forced Yadier Molina at home, and Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltamacchia threw to 3rd base, to try to get Craig out, but the ball got past over Will Middlebrooks into shallow left field, Craig fell over Red Sox 3rd baseman Will Middlebrooks as he was trying to get up the ball went into left field, but he got tangled up with Middlebrooks, the throw home got Craig at home plate. However, 3rd base umpire Jim Joyce called Craig safe at home because Middlebrooks obstructed him. The replay cleared showed it was not a deliberate obstruction, but the Cardinals will take a 5 to 4 win, and a two game to one lead in the series. Game 4 is tomorrow night at 8:07 P.M at Busch Stadium with Lance Lynn pitching for the Cardinals against the Red Sox Clay Buchholz.
